Nationwide On-Line Banking Network for Bank of Small Industries & Commerce (BASIC)

This project was successfully implemented by Technohaven Co. This made BASIC the first truly on-line banking service provider at all its branches spread across the country. Leased X.28 links and dial-up PSTN links have been used for this WAN setup where each node is served by a SCO Open Server Rel.5 UNIX host.

Work Responsibilities at BASIC

01) Supply and installation of SCO Unix, SCO VDM, FoxPro Development system.

02) Provide necessary consultancy and advisory suggestions for porting existing banking software written in FoxPro from DOS system to SCO Unix environment and also extend the program from single user environment to multi-user.

03) Installation of modified banking software in all the branches in SCO environment.

04) Setup of WAN between head office and other branches. Setup of LAN in Main branches and Head office.

05) Provide tailor made Unix administrative and user level training for BAISC personnel on Unix file system and other related topics.

06) Provide warranty support for contracted period, including reinstallation, reconfiguration, trouble shooting and any other software support.
